Rain showers falling off to the east of Bryce Canyon, as seen from Rainbow Point, the southern-most and highest elevation stop on the road. The sun wasn't right to produce the namesake rainbow, I guess. This is a more colorful view of the canyon than in my last few posts from here.... rain on the red rock just brings out those beautiful deep hues and an active sky is always key for me:) Large view enabled for this one.. enjoy!
Check out the SkyWatch homepage every weekend for more interesting sky images from around the world.
Wow! Very impressive photo. =)
WoW! That dramatic sky sure makes for a beautiful view!!!
To begin with, I love Bryce Canyon and your photo is truly mind boggling! To be able to see the rain like this!! Fantastic! Enjoy your weekend!
Gotta love a sky that is that dramatic even if it means rain!
questa è la foto più bella che ho visto su SW fino adesso !!!
Buona giornata Myriam :)
The dramatic sky accents the beautiful red rocks of Bryce. Although the clear blue background wasn't too bad when I was there.
As always, I expect the best photograph at your blog. Excellent compostion. Lighting is great. What else can I say except wowza.
Very beautiful! Great dramatic sky, and as always in Bryce, amazing landscape! Hard to top this one!
That is just too gorgeous. Love the way the clouds are weeping....
You have captured a great dramatic view here! Well done. Have a great weekend.
That one is a breath-taking view!! Really awesome capture...
Very great one Mark. Congrats and thank's for the large view.
I enjoy so much the quality of your images, always such soft tones and so beautiful. Have a great weekend~
Hi Mark, I have been catching up with a few of your photo's :) Fabulous view and a different Skywatch image.
I have been looking back becuase I haven't been over for a while and have enjoyed you Fall images but also the mono session you have a while back. Faerieland being by absolute favourite because it appeals to me on so many levels.
I hope you are ok and all settled now :) Chrissy
It looks stunning, even without the rainbow :-)
you have captured the rain beautifully there's no doubt what's happening.
Oh what a wonderful place to spend time in. I think it is one of the most beautiful places in the US.
Unfortunately for me I was carrying a camera around with me when we went through there.
This is absolutely outstanding!! I am glad I found you again. You are by far one of my favorites.
I am working on a new blog roll list and I grabbed your address.
