More from the Fungi Dept.

Again in the Hoh Rainforest: Don't know what kind of mushrooms these are, but I would guess maybe not the edible kind! I thought the decaying log and moss would be an attractive subject in themselves, but the little grouping of mushrooms in the foreground definitely adds an area of contrast and that specific, attention grabbing point of interest that is so important.
I probably shot more of the color green in one week here, than I have in the last ten years combined:)

Looks like those mushrooms grow right outside a "little" person's door.

Like the contrast in this image. Plus you are certainly experiencing contrast after years in the SW and now the NW. The greens of Hoh are too numerous to count and can overwhelm the green part of the brain. Yet I hope you'll post some more for this desert dweller.

Hope you had some sun while there.

Love these...I love the driftwood above too but, I couldn't resist a little look back :) They do look like a fairy house for sure. Great photo, we seem to be missing our fungi so far this Autumn but, too dry methimks...time enough yet :)
